5 Ways to Improve Your Health

This week on Ask The Chiropractor we were asked about New Years Resolutions.  Dr Hulsebus can up with 5 ways to improve your health.  New Year’s health resolutions often involve making changes to one’s lifestyle in order to improve overall health and well-being. Some common examples of New Year’s health resolutions include:

  • Losing weight
  • Eating a healthier diet
  • Exercising more regularly
  • Reducing stress
  • Improving sleep habits

It’s important to keep in mind that making lasting changes to one’s lifestyle can be challenging, and it’s important to set realistic goals and make a plan for how to achieve them.


Improving your diet is a great way to improve your overall health and well-being. Here are some tips for improving your diet:

  • Make sure to eat vegetables every day and at every meal.
  • Limit your intake of processed foods, as they often contain added sugars and saturated fats.  If it has a label it is probably not good for you.
  • Include lean protein sources in your diet such as fish, chicken, turkey, beans, and nuts. Protein is important for building and repairing muscle, and can also help you feel full and satisfied.  These should be at dinner.
  • Eat healthy fats such as olive oil, avocado, and nuts. These fats can help improve heart health and reduce inflammation.
  • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and avoid sugary drinks.

It’s also important to remember that everyone’s nutritional needs are different, so it’s a good idea to consult a chiropractor to help you develop a plan that is tailored to your specific needs.
