Chiropractic Pediatric Research
This week Dr Hulsebus was asked about many different pediatric chiropractic questions. So for ask the chiropractor he shares where he does his chiropractic pediatric research. This is actually a very highly level of research in our field. There are several different certifications one can earn in pediatric area. To complete one of these certification one must contribute research to a project, write a paper, or even publish a paper.
Is there good research?
Due to the fact that everyone must write a paper or be a part of one there is lots of research. Here a few topics I have seen-
- Bed wetting
- Colic
- Sleeping
- Constipation
- Ear Aches
- Tonsils
Just to name a few. You can search previous podcast I have done to see more on some of these topics.
There are several sources I would also like to share with you.
These are all the sites we use here to do our research.
Lots of Information
As you can guess pediatric research might only be second to chiropractic care for lower back pain. Lower back pain is something everyone understands but not for children. Several health insurance plans will to cover children. They claim there is no research. Where are they looking? Or not looking? Also there is the idea that children can not injure their backs as they are still growing. Watch TikTok or YouTube videos and ask yourself if kids can injure their spines.
Why
Dr Hulsebus has taken several courses through the international chiropractic association pediatrics and completed the ICPA course. He learned all of this after his twins were born premature and was forced to the current systems. His goal was to gain knowledge to help all his future patients should they find themselves in the same place.
