Chiropractic Credentials

Many people ask us about our chiropractic credentials.  We have several and I would like to take a minute and explain a few.  First and most important is the college a chiropractor chooses.  Here we all are Palmer graduates.  Palmer College of Chiropractic is the first college of chiropractic.  First school to teach chiropractic .  First school in national board pass rate.  First school in loan default rate, meaning we are successful and are able to repay what we borrow.

Post Graduation

As Chiropractors in the state of Illinois, we take the same continuing education as any other primary physician.  So we take 60 class room hours every three years.  Here we try to better ourselves on the three pillars of chiropractic, art, science and philosophy.

Philosophy

Dr Hulsebus earned his LCP first.  The LCP stands for Legion of Chiropractic Philosophers.  This was a post graduate course with several requirements.  First was 8 weekend courses in person with different philosophy teachers.  When finished we wrote and defend a thesis paper.  There was a panel of teachers who all had questions about our thesis we defended.

Science

Dr Hulsebus then earned his CCWP. The CCWP is a certification that some chiropractors pursue to specialize in promoting overall wellness. This may involve additional coursework in nutrition, exercise, emotional stress, and other wellness-related topics.  There are four text books with four in person weekend classes.  After each class there is a written exam.  Onceyou have complete all for textbooks and weekends, you can then take the final exam.

Art

Dr Hulsebus went in two different directions here.  First classes were becoming certified in the Webster adjustment for pregnant women.  He earned his certification after several weekend courses and both a written exam and practical. After this he studied with Dr Dan Murphy.  Dr Murphy is one of the chiropractic fields expert with whiplash care.
